What is Moneythink @ CMU? 💡

Moneythink @ CMU is a student organization focused on improving financial literacy and promoting real-world financial confidence among students through mentorship, workshops, and interactive events.

Who can join Moneythink? 🧑‍🎓

Anyone at Carnegie Mellon University with an interest in finance, business, or mentorship is welcome to join! We have roles for mentors, workshop leads, event planners, and marketing coordinators.

What does Moneythink actually do?

We run mentoring programs, host finance and entrepreneurship workshops, collaborate with local schools, and organize speaker events that help students develop real-world financial and professional skills.

How do I become a mentor? 🤝

Mentor applications open at the start of each semester! Keep an eye on our Instagram and mailing list for announcements — or reach out directly through our website’s contact form.

When are your next events? 📅

We host events throughout the semester — from speaker panels and networking nights to budgeting and investing workshops. You can always find upcoming events on our homepage or newsletter.

Do I need prior finance experience?

Not at all! Moneythink is built for students of all backgrounds. Whether you’re new to personal finance or already managing a portfolio, we provide an inclusive learning environment for everyone.
